Millions lynched according to Oprah YGBSM Files.

Oprah, that history scholar claims in a interview that millions of blacks were lynched form the late 1800's through the civil right movement. Of course the Tuskegee Institute debunks her numbers.

From 1882 to 1968 broken down by state.

One of the comments disagrees with the Institutes numbers.  Which is fine, the numbers could vary in either direction. But Millions? And the Institute has the number that just shy of 1300 of the lynchings were white people. Oprah belongs in the foot in mouth museum of revisionist history.


This just in. Obama to award Oprah medal-of freedom. Really? What has she done besides exploit her own race for her own benefit? You can't make this stuff up.

California Compliant Firearms: Enabling Bad Behavior

 Flip through a catalog, if you can still find one, or browse the website of most of your favorite manufactures and you’ll find pages or sections with products highlighted as “California Legal” or “Massachusetts Approved” or some similar verbiage. Those who live in free America might think these listings are a bit odd. You might be asking yourself, just what is so special about this firearm or that, that is must be marked as “CA Compliant”?

I've always been of the mind that the manufactures should tell those states to piss off. Let their police departments do the maintenance it takes to keep 20 year old service pistols in service. Or even better, let them scrounge up some old model 10 Smiths and use those. There would also be no "patrol" rifles. 

Whatever area of business or politics you examine, when you get down to the nitty-gritty, the back room deals, its all about control. Who is in control? Who will control whom? When a state legislature passes some type of arbitrary ruling that a firearm must be configured this way or cannot be configured that way, they are exercising control. They are forcing private enterprise, and that is what gun companies are, into a position of even greater subservience and submission. Do these bureaucrats do so from genuine interest in public safety? If you answer honestly, it is no. Then why do it?

It's always been about control. You cannot control a armed citizen. The gun haters for years have been chipping away in any place they can find. All it takes is a look to the west and the state of California. Some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country and yet the violence in the cities is approaching Chicago numbers. 

When it is suggested that firearms makers refuse to make guns that ‘comply’ with the thoughtless and empty regulations of certain states the word “fair” gets thrown around. It’s not ‘fair’ to punish the citizens for the actions of their government some will say. Why should we be punished? To that question I would ask, who elected and continues to elect the politicians who pass these empty, feel-good laws? If not the citizens of the state, then who?

Rookie cops shoot 14-year-old dead after teen shot at fleeing man in South Bronx

Police shot and killed an armed teen in the South Bronx early today after the suspect chased and shot at another man, then refused to drop his gun, police said.

Two rookie cops heard shots fired near East 151st Street and Courtlandt Avenue around 3 a.m. and ran in the direction of fire, police said. The uniformed officers saw Shaaliver Douse, 14, of the South Bronx, chasing another person through the streets, according to cops.

The first question I would ask, is just what is a 14 year old doing out running the streets at 3AM? The second question would be, what was he doing with a gun and shooting at someone?

Two rookie cops, assigned to the high-crime area on an Impact team, just months after graduating police academy, identified themselves as police officers and told Douse to drop the gun, according to an NYPD statement..
Douse refused and one of the officers fired one round, striking the gunman in the jaw, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

I've never been the smartest person in the world, but if a cop tells me to drop my gun, he doesn't have to tell me a second time.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly dismissed suggestions that the cops should have wounded the boy instead of killing him.

“You shoot to stop. You can’t shoot to wound. That only happens in Western movies,” Kelly said at a press conference at NYPD headquarters.

Damn, this is probably one of the smartest things Kelly has ever said.

Douse's family was furious.

“They're making it all up,” said his aunt, Quwana Barcene. “There was no gun. It’s all a cover-up. It’s what the police do. They kill us and cover it up.

“It’s not fair. It was my sister’s only child. You shouldn't have to bury your child. My beautiful nephew got shot in the head. A mother of one now has to bury her only child.”

Yeah, her "precious" nephew was assassinated by the infamous NYPD hit squad.  It doesn't matter that he was chasing someone down the street and firing at them. His last shot was in the direction of the police. If some points a gun in my direction, and especially if they fire a shot, I'm going to take that as a immediate threat and return fire. Since I'm not a cop, I don't have to give them any warning either. Lead a thug life, die a thug death.

The two officers, ages 26 and 27, were taken to Jacobi Hospital for ringing in the ears and trauma, police said.

I've shot all kinds of calibers without earplugs. Usually when hunting, and it does tend to ring your ears. I also understand them being treated for trauma. Taking a human life is hard to do. I hope they get all the help they need.
